I wanted to share the updates below that may be helpful to Georgia businesses:

  • The Department of Treasury announced that the Main Street Lending Program is now fully operational and ready to purchase qualifying loans. The Main Street Lending Program will provide bridge financing for small and medium-sized businesses impacted by the coronavirus. More information is available here.
  • Last week, the Senate passed and President Trump signed into law legislation extending the application deadline for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to August 8, 2020. More information is available here.

As a businesswoman who has signed the front of a paycheck as well as the back, I know the challenge uncertainty brings to any business. I will do everything I can to help our small businesses and our employees across Georgia during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Please feel free to forward this email to others who may find it helpful.

Our Senate office is here to help you during this challenging time. If there is anything we can provide, or if you have questions or suggestions about the federal response to COVID-19, do not hesitate to contact us at (770) 661-0999, or at this email: [email protected].

Thank you,
U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler
